"Casablanca", cel mai citat film din istoria cinematografiei

Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson sau Cuba Gooding Jr sunt doar cativa dintre candidatii in topul "celor mai citate replici din filme", top realizat de 1.500 de critici de film, istorici si artisti. Dupa dezbateri indelungi, acestia au ales cel mai memorabil citat din istoria filmului: "Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn" spus de Clark Gable in pelicula de succes "Pe aripile vantului". Pe web-site-ul AFI (American Film Institute), fanii au avut si ei un cuvant de spus. "Casablanca" a fost votat drept "cel mai citat film din istorie", urmat de "Nasul", "National Lampoon’s Animal House", "Vrajitorul din Oz" si "Pe aripile vantului".

Din punct de vedere cronologic, intre 1927 si 2002, alegerile au fost urmatoarele: "Casablanca" detine sapte replici, urmat de "Vrajitorul din Oz", cu sase. Cel mai reprezentativ an este 1939 cu 19 citate de film, urmat de anul 1942 cu 17 replici si 1980 cu 12 replici. Humphrey Bogart este cap de afis, citat de zece ori, devenind astfel cel mai reprezentativ actor. Al Pacino si fratii Marx ii urmeaza cu cate sapte replici, iar Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, James Stewart, Woody Allen si Jack Nicholson cate cinci. Comicii Peter Sellers si Mike Myers au castigat cate patru citate. La categoria actrite, Bette Davis, Greta Garbo, Judy Garland si Vivien Leigh detin cate patru replici memorabile.
