Contestants: Bacchic liquids from South Africa - country that won the highest number of medals at the red wines section last year - Australia, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and California.TIGHT RACE
"This year, the wines presented have been very close one to another from the value point of view, and judging results were very tight. This is the reason that determined the jury to award only silver and gold medals", stated Ovidiu Gheorghe, general manager of the National Vineyard and Wine Association (NVWA), one of the eventâs organizers. There were 66 of them. "Romanian wines recorded a resonant success, 56 medals being awarded, much more that at the 2003 edition", said Gheorghe.Citește pe Antena3.ro
