Prince Paul of Romania is asking for help from the Israeli Government and the Jewish organizations for exposing his uncle, King Mihai 1st accomplice of the Nazis.
This shocking news is published in the online issue of the Israeli daily newspaper written in English, Jerusalem Post, which states that Prince Paul, together with his wife, Lia, is visiting Israel.

The two have brought in Israel some documents, "many of them hidden years in a row and discovered recently", as Jerusalem Post says, to prove that King Mihai "has been a profiteer during the war and immediately afterwards". The two got to Israel because the "Romanian press didnât prove too receptive towards their measure, because they fear of the Governmentâs retaliation", says the Israeli newspaper.

Paul of Romania hopes his appeal to the Israeli authorities and the Jewish community will be a barrier for the Parliament in Bucharest in awarding King Mihai a compensation of 30 million euro for the properties confiscated after the WWII. "During the four years in which Romania was a Nazi state, the Jewish had been deported, their properties had been confiscated, they hadnât been allowed to be pharmacists or doctors, they had been forced to wear a yellow star, and 350,000 of them died", Paul of Romania stated in an interview for the Jerusalem Post on Sunday. "Who is guilty? King Mihai created the Nazi state. And now he is rewarded!", Prince Paul says.

The Prince says he is preparing a legal action in the name of the Jews, whose properties had been confiscated during the reign of Mihai. He asserts his uncle offered him a part of the 30 million euros to remain silent about his Nazi past, but he had refused, according to the quoted source. Yesterday, Israeli Parliamentary sources stated for us that at Knesset (the Israeli Parliament) there was a petition in the internal e-mail, which was coming from the deputy of the Shass ultra-orthodox party, Nissim Dahan, who was supporting Prince Paulâs measures.
