The Romanian authority in charge with privatizaton of state assets, or AVAS, plans to make this year some important sells, said its president, Teodor Atanasiu. He named the Energy Co in Craiova, the airplane maker IAR Ghimbav, and companies working in the military industry, as IOR SA and Arsenal Resita. “Most of them will go on sale by bidding or by negotiation on bidding offers, pending on our interest in assessing the business plans or our intention to get a higher price than the call price in the bidding,” said Atanasiu.
