Surprise! - Bitang and Belu State Counsels at Cotroceni

The two former coaches of the Romanian gymnastics team, Mariana Bitang and Octavian Belu, met with President Traian Basescu at the Cotroceni Palace yesterday.

On this opportunity, the two have received the invitation of joining the Presidential staff as state counsels on sport issues. Belu and Bitang have accepted Traian Basescu’s proposal, seeing it as honorific. In the next days, Bitang and Belu will discuss the terms regarding their future projects at the Romanian Presidency. The coaches want to make a real reform of the Romanian sportive environment and want to use their vast experience in doing that. Bitang and Belu thought it was more important to get involved in the Romanian sport, than leaving for another country.
