One of the participants in the marriage ceremony has been Adrian Nastase, according to the foreign press. He has been one of the witnesses and, as France Press says, there have also been the Jordanian king Abdallah and the Greek Prime Minister, Costas Caramanlis. Trustful sources in Bucharest confirmed that the Romanian Prime Minister has been in Istanbul on Sunday. The wedding brought here a lot of important characters.

THE CONGRATULATIONS, THE MEAL AND THE DANCING… The Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, didn’t miss the wedding either, him being present this way for the second time at an Erdogan wedding. Last year he has been a witness in the wedding ceremony of Necmettin Bilal, the son of the Turkish Prime Minister. On the special guests list there has also been the Pakistani President, Pervez Musharraf. There were a few thousands of guests, this being the reason for the choice of the room, the huge Rumeli in the Lutfi Kirdar Congress and Exhibitions Center in the center of Istanbul. This has also been the building of the son’s wedding in 2003. Not before last month, this has been the place of the leaders of the NATO members meeting. Erdogan also had to take care of the guests’ security, all very important people. So, 5000 police officers guarded the wedding.

DADDY’S GIRL
Esra Erdogan, aged 20, looks a lot like her father. "She is a like him no matter what she would do. They have the same gestures, the same nature, the same way of thinking", said her sister Summeye to the reporters from Indiana Daily Student, last year. But, unlike her father, Ersa, after studying at the University in Indiana, she doesn’t want to go into politics: "The Turkish people don’t react to the happenings in politics. They see the Government as a symbol, and they never judge its actions."
