During a momentarily poetical inspiration, Marko Bela gave an amazingly precise description of the essence of the scandals that are more and more present in the current Government Coalition.
The Coalition is smoking! The scandals donât bring anything at all for the reality. They are just scandals for the media. This is also what could be said in the case of the scandal started by the NLP initiative. The only result of the scandal is the smoke left behind! An intense media smoke, which covered the entire country. When it went away, everyone saw nothing happened. The Romanian soldiers will stay in Iraq for a long time! Was the liberal initiative just a splendid inutility indeed, as all the newspapers and TV stations manipulated by Cotroceni suggested? No way! The liberal initiative has managed to display a huge, incredible after-the-revolution performance. For the first time after December 1989, a matter regarding the external political strategy has taken the headlines of the public opinion. Due to complex reasons, the great decisions regarding the external political strategy have been the exclusive result of certain measures in the presidential cabinets. Basescu has proposed Vladimir Voronin to take the Moldavian Republic in the European Union together with Romania. Traian Basescu himself revealed it during a dinner at Cotroceni for the best pupils in the Moldavian Republic. Like many other sensational disclosures of President Traian Basescu, this also can be considered as a simple artifice of a politician desperately looking for media impact. If the disclosure is true, than we are facing an irresponsible political gesture. Not only because it is aberrant to bring in the fancy club a member more tattered than you, but also because the Romanian public opinion did not know a thing about this hickey. Romaniaâs participation to the anti-terrorism war together with America is another example of decision taken in the presidential boudoir. The decision did not meet with the opinion of the Romanians not when Ion Iliescu took it, neither when Traian Basescu took it. Iliescu, as well as Basescu, took the decision by himself in the name of the Romanians and, most important of all, against the Romanians. If the decision was publicly debated, the things that appear now would have been seen: the arguments of our military adventure together with the USA are very, very thin.Citește pe Antena3.ro
