THE DECISIVE BATTLE. Bucharest is almost ready for the Hague court of law, where it is to launch the decisive battle for the natural gas and oil deposits near the Snakesâ Island, says Zekalo Nedeli, which comments that the Ukrainians are to be caught unprepared and the Romanians have a lot of chances to win in Hague.
10 MILLION $. The Ukrainian publication says that Bucharest has already contacted influential lawyers and lobbyists, like the oil company TotalFinalElf, "to which the Romanians gave the license for the prospecting and exploitation of the continental sector of the Black Sea in 1998". The press in Kiev estimates that the total value of the judge costs will reach 10 million $. Approached by Jurnalul National, the State Secretary in the External Affairs Ministry, Bogdan Aurescu, stated that he abstains from confirming the things written in Zerkalo Nedeli.
