BUSINESS - July 29 2004
On Monday, the present manager of Orange Romania, Bernard Moscheni, has been proposed the managing job for the Belgian mobile telephony company Mobistar, according to the daily paper La Libre Belgique.
Orange Romania didnât announce any possible change in the companyâs leading board, justifying that for the time being "there is no official decision of the Orange group". Richard Moat, former CEO of Orange Denmark, is the most probable to take over from Moscheni, who lead Orange Romania for four years and who, in his turn, will take over from Bernard Ghillebaert. His nomination is the only one that the Administration Council of Mobistar has to approve. The present manager of the Orange subsidiary in Romania has been an employee of France Telecom since 1992. He has also worked for 11 years for Renault and 3 years for the Suez group until that. Before coming in Romania, Moscheni has been the financial director of France Telecom in the Telemex telephony company in Mexico for two and a half years. Moscheni has been nominated as the financial, juridical and administrative manager of the mobile telephony company MobilRom in 1997. In April 2002, MobilRom has become Orange Romania.
THE BELGIAN SUBSIDIARY. Mobistar is the second mobile telephony operator in Belgium. The company has announced at the beginning of this week the nomination of Bernard Moscheni, the present manager of Orange Romania, as the general manager. Moscheni is to take over starting from the 1st of October, this year. Bernard Ghillebaert, the one that lead the company until now the Belgian subsidiary of the Orange group, is to be transferred in the Great Britainâs leading board. Mobistar is the Belgian subsidiary of the Orange group and also the mobile telephony subsidiary of France Telecom, the main stock owner of the group. (C.B.)
