A CURS (Center for Urban and Regional Sociology) poll went public yesterday shows that there are five percentages separating SDP (the Social Democratic Party) and the NLP (the National Liberal Party) - DP (the Democratic Party) Alliance in the electorates preferences, while the two candidates of the parties for the Presidency are separated by 8 percentages.

The CURS poll shows that if next Sunday the Presidential elections occur 43% of the Romanians would vote for the SDP candidate Adrian Nastase, followed by the Allianceâs candidate Theodor Stolojan with 35%, then Corneliu Vadim Tudor from GRP (the Great Romania Party) - 15%, Codrut Seres from HPR (the Humanist Party of Romania) - 3%, Lia Roberts (independent) - 3%. Some of the ones interviewed would vote for another candidate, and 31% say they are still undecided or that they wouldnât vote.
PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS. According to the poll, in the case of parliamentary elections next Sunday, 40% would vote for SDP, 35% for the Alliance, 12% for GRP, 5% for HPR, 3% for another party, and 33% of the questioned ones are undecided or wouldnât vote.
TRUST. The CURS poll also shows that SDP is the party in which trust a lot with 40%. It is followed by NLP with 38%, DP with 29%, GRP with 18%, HPR with 15% and DUHR (the Democrat Union of the Hungarians in Romania) with 7%.
