The names of the son of the president of the Romanian Olympic Committee (ROC), Ion Tiriac, and the one of his girlfriend, Ileana Lazariuc, as well as the one of the daughter of the Romanian Football Federation (RFF) president, Mircea Sandu, have been the headline of prosecutors’ list. More than that, yesterday the manager of Sportul Studentesc, Dan Petrescu, has been present in a hearing as a witness by the . The scandal seems to get very high in the group of the Romanian footballers, many important players being present on the prosecutors’ list of accusation. Sources inside the prosecutor’s office sustain that they will be called for hearings, but there is also the possibility that some of them would be accused of drug use. However, we don’t know for sure when this is going to happen since there is no one making an official statement about this situation.

COMBINATIONS

The persons involved are very well known for the Romanian football. Adrian Mutu, Bogdan lobont, Iulian Miu and Vladut Munteanu (all football players) are the one present on that list. All of them are usual customers of the nightclubs in Bucharest, being more or less close to the "Ion Ion Tiriac - Ileana Lazariuc" group. Two of them, Miu and Vladut Munteanu, have been involved in relationships with Ileana Lazariuc, and many people have seen them together in the nightclubs in Bucharest in the past. Dan Petrescu, the manager of Sportul Studentesc, and his ex-wife, Dana, have been heard yesterday, as witnesses, in the "Cocaine for VIPs" case. Dan Petrescu has been questioned about the incident that happened two years ago in the club "Office". Then, during a Police investigation, the policemen found a small envelope containing cocaine under the table of Raluca Sandu, the daughter of the RFF president. After a hearing that lasted 3 hours, the former football player said that he didn’t have much to declare to the investigators: "From my point of view, nothing Happened at the "Office", there was no one taking any drugs. I don’t know anything, I haven’t seen anything." His ex-wife didn’t make any official statement.
