THE ROMANIAN STAKE. The discussions with the Romanian authorities have been about the privatization project, the natural gas transit, the development of the warehousing ability.
Miller emphasized the importance on the bond between the different partnership projects with Romania and the increase of the amount of natural gas spot-contracts, once the market is free. The most invoked has been the project of "some common investments" in a warehouse in the North-Eastern part of the country and in a transit pipe in the area close to the Siret river.
When asked about the reason of giving up on the Petrom purchase, Miller answered: "The right question is not why? But what for?", pointing at the privatization conditions which didnât match with the Russian giantâs plans.
