"You all know very well how many skeptical allusions and even public challenges have existed, all having the purpose of preparing the international commonwealth to be against this project.
LAVINIA TUDORAN

The tries of challenging the ecologic commonwealth didn’t stop even now. But we know better whose interests are behind these tries regarding the channel." This statement belongs to no one other than the Ukrainian President, Leonard Kucima.

HYPOCRISY. This isn’t the only harsh statement of the Kiev leader that, at the opening of the argumentative Bistroe channel, complained without any restraint and with a precise target: Romania and the rest of the project’s criticizing, a project he’s been dreaming about for some years now. Kucima doesn’t believe an international expertise of the channel, that goes through the protected area of the Delta, by the way, is necessary. "We have developed a lot of expertise in Ukraine, and if someone wishes, we can offer it to him", said Kucima. Like no one (Romania, USA, scores of ecologic organizations) ever asked until now, for several times, for an ecologic expertise to the authorities in Kiev. Since the ecologic report didn’t appear, everyone asked for the international ecologic expertise, which will surely prove, the future disastrous effects of the Ukrainian channel on the Danube Delta.
