Even though they are more avaricious than women when talking about personal care, more and more men started to spend their money for manicure, pedicure or even depilation. The monthly turnover of a masculine cosmetics salon can reach 7,000 euros.

PRICES
"The men are more avaricious than the ladies. They donât accept the fact they also need care", Dudeanu stated. The clients that want perfect manicure have to pay approximately 200,000 lei (ROL), and, for the pedicure, 300,000 lei. An hour-long massage session costs from 450,000 lei to 900,000 lei. The price varies depending on the type of the massage (relaxation, bracing and upkeep, recovery). A haircut costs from 170,000 lei to 350,000 lei for a change of look. One cosmetics treatment costs from 600,000 lei to 1,000,000 lei, and to mention it all, a depilation costs from 70,000 lei to 350,000 lei. "We record an average of 20 clients per day. The strangers coming here started to bring their friends too so the number of our clients increases from one day to another", Mihai Zlotea, hairstylist at a menâs exclusive cosmetics salon, said. Since a visit to the beauty salon means at least 500,000 lei for each customer, the monthly turnover of such a salon reaches 7,000 euros.COMPETITION
The competition is still little for this market. In Bucharest there are only two such salons ironically situated 500 meters away one from the other. "In the menâs exclusive salons they can talk about all the things they are most enthusiastic about: women, football, cars etc.", Cristina Dudeanu, employee of a cosmetics salon, said. The customer has free access to the bar. They could go for tea, mineral or flat water, coffee or soda. "We try to make them feel as good as they can. The little space gives us a huge helping hand in creating a pleasant atmosphere", she adds.Citește pe Antena3.ro
CLIENTS
The main clients of these salons are foreigners. "The Romanians started to come too, I mean they started to take care of themselves. Most of them are businessmen. The number of people coming here increases every year", Cristian Dudeanu stated. The salons work with scheduling, but the "emergencies" are also accepted. "This is because of the men that are not used to schedule their visit to a menâs exclusive salon", says Dudeanu.Translation : SORIN BALAN
