Mutu Will Play again for Dinamo Bucharest

Adrian Mutu terminated the contract with the firm of the Becali brothers and of Gica Popescu. He will go on with his career at Dinamo, the team from which he left in the winter of 2000. Today, at 12 o’clock, the "Brilliant" will hold a press conference at the headquarters of the team on Stefan cel Mare street. The Romanian forward terminated the contract with his agents, Victor Becali and Gica Popescu, yesterday. After almost 5 years spent at top teams in Europe, he will return to the team in Stefan cel Mare, the team from which he left for the first class football.

In the near future, Mutu won’t play for Juventus, or for AS Roma, or for Arsenal. According to some confidential sources, after the expiry of his suspension period, the Romanian football player will play for Dinamo.

HYPOTHESIS. Among the reasons for which the "Brilliant" chose to comeback at the team who brought him in the headlights there are his good relationships with executive director, Cristi Borcea, and with the president of the Administration Council, Gigi Netoiu. In addition, Adrian Mutu chose the team in Stefan cel Mare for his first public appearance after the scandal in which he was involved. As a result, he will hold a press conference at the club’s headquarters, today at 12 o’clock. At the same time, it looks like there was an argue between him and his agents, because, for the time being he didn’t want to sign with any other team. In consequence, he decided to give up on his contract with the "Becali&Popescu" firm.

PREPARATION. After coming back to the country, Mutu trained for the first time on Sunday at the "dogs’" (Dinamo) training ground in Saftica. He told the officials at Dinamo he wants to train with the red-and-white team. Coach Ioan Andone confirmed that. "Mutu expressed his wish of training with us in the following days, but he would like to have peace and quiet. He seemed very determined. He wants to work hard. He spent a wonderful time at Dinamo, he won a title with us, so it is normal for him to want to start all over in a place where he was comfortable", said the "dogs’" coach. The "Brilliant" didn’t show up during yesterday’s morning training session in Stefan cel Mare. However, last night, the team was expecting him at the training ground in Saftica, where Dinamo is training for the cup match with Dacia Unirea Braila.
