Olympic Dream, the video clip of the official song of the Olympic Games had its worldwide first broadcast on the Sunday evening news cast of Antena 1 private television channel.

The video was shot in Bucharest, on July 23 and 24, and the interpreter and composer of the song was the Croat Maksim Mrvica, deemed to be the fastest living pianist. EMI recording house has the intellectual rights for the song and it chose Antena 1 television channel to first broadcast the video as it considered it to be the most prestigious.
"We found out this video clip will be filmed in Romania and contacted the EMI representative in Romania to get an interview with the performing artist," said Carmen Moise.

The EMI representatives closely monitored Romanian networks and then decided to give Antena 1 the opportunity for a world-premiere. "This is an offer one cannot say no to, and we are very proud we were those chosen for the first broadcast," said Vlad Petreanu, editor-in-chief of the Antena 1 evening news cast. The shooting of the video clip took place in Romania because Mrvica’s manager visited our country before and liked the views. The video equipment was hired in Bucharest, but the crew flew in from London.

The shooting lasted two days and used locations in Bucharest: at the Royal Palace Hall, on the Covaci street [in the oldest district in Bucharest] and at the Free Press House [a Stalinist style building, housing most of the Bucharest-based publications].
"We searched Saturday for the locations used in the video clip, and the hardest to track down was the exact place on Covaci Street. We were screaming with joy when we recognized the exact place," said Moise, who worked on the news report documenting the making of the video.

Mrvica, the Croat composer and player of the Olympic Games song, started to play the piano at nine, when Croatia was at war and he had to rehearse in the basement of the Music School he was a student of. He continued his studies in Paris and became famous thanks to his ability to easily combine the classic with the modern style. He is deemed to be currently the fastest piano player in the world.

Mrvica is very much liked in Asia, where he sold music enabling him to get the Golden Disc in Singapore, China, Malaysia and Croatia, the Platinum Disc in Taiwan and the Double Platinum Disc in Hong Kong.
Taiwan will be the second country the video will be broadcast in, as Mrvica has many fans there, and Greece will be the third country, after Romania.
