State Counselor Stana Anghelescu has left the Cotroceni Palace yesterday. State Counselor Stana Anghelescu has left the Cotroceni Palace yesterday. The Administration’s statement announces a resignation, but, in fact, the President made a clean sweep of the wife of the producer of the cigarettes with the same name, which he accused of trying to find protection under the name of Basescu.

The Cotroceni Palace announced yesterday that President Traian Basescu had approved the resignation of State Counselor Stana Anghelescu. Anghelescu said it was because of personal reasons, but, actually, Traian Basescu had requested her resignation after he had found out his employee had called NAFA in order to arrange a fiscal control acquittal for her husband. NAFA has discovered at Anghelescu’s company, the producer of the cigarettes with the same name, a tax evasion of 650,000 euros. Stana Anghelescu has been the administrator of Anghelescu Industry for several years. The press had written more than once about the missing of the cigarettes’ stamps or even about tax evasion. This wasn’t an obstacle for the President to bring Stana Anghelescu at Cotroceni in February. The Anghelescus are members of the DP (Democratic Party) organization in the 1st Sector. There are sources in DP that say the head of this business was one of the sponsors of Traian Basescu’s electoral Campaign.

DELIMITATION. Recently, the President wanted to put himself away from Florian Anghelescu, and, in an interview for a central newspaper, he let fall that the owner of the company had tried to protect himself from a possible arrest, by introducing himself as a person close to Basescu. "Mr. Anghelescu is trying to create a protection system for himself, by saying everywhere he goes that, together with the President, he decides about people’s positions, investigations etc. And there are a lot others like him. Sooner or later they will receive their lying bills", the President warned.

DELIRIUM. On the phone, Florian Anghelescu refused to comment on the President’s affirmation. He started to accuse the NAFA president, Sebastian Bodu, not rabout his profession abilities, but the suspect diseases of his, and other accusations and insults that we will not show here, due to their lack of decency. We will only say Anghelescu states the NAFA president took "one million dollars from some guy in Constanta, who is his competitor" and "one kilogram of gold from the Arabians" in order to harass him. After that, he went to Cotroceni to Elena Udrea to ask for her support. According to Anghelescu, Bodu, which he sometimes mistakes for the Minister of Finances, is the one that uses the President’s name by saying to several people the President had asked him to go and do this and that. However, his wife seems to have quitted because she had felt ashamed of President Basescu and because she hadn’t wanted to destroy the image of the Presidential Administration.

Florian Anghelescu threatens to sue the NAFA president, who is also his party colleague. Being very delirious, the businessperson inserted some physical threats against Bodu, saying he would break his neck, even if he would look for "protection from GPS (the Guard and Protect Service) and RIS (the Romanian Information Services)".

NAFA FORWARDS LEGAL COMPLAINT. The President of the National Agency of the Fiscal Administration (NAFA), Sebastian Bodu, confirmed yesterday that the Anghelescus paid him a visit at the Agency. "I do not consider any political pressure has been involved, but they could be seen as tempting to intimidate only by being at NAFA", Bodu stated for Mediafax. NAFA has forwarded a legal complaint against Anghelescu Industry, where Florian Anghelescu is one of the associates. This comes after the controls that showed a tax evasion of 650,000 euros and the fact that the company doesn’t keep the current and exact evidences regarding the raw materials and the taxable products. "There is a possibility that there will be harder punishments, like legal fines or time", Bodu stated. "The legal complaint is against the company’s administrator. Anghelescu is one of this firm’s associates, but the Prosecutors can extend their investigation to the associates, if there will be proofs saying the administrator acted under the associates’ pressures", the NAFA official said.
