Ilie Sarbu, deputy president of the Social Democrat Party, or PSD, in opposition, Friday said the two major ruling coalition partners wooed his party to make a new parliamentary majority in the fall.
Sarbu added the PSD was not interested in negotiating with the National Liberal Party, PNL, or the Democrat Party, PD, which both try to opt out of their "doomed political alliance." His words came against the common knowledge, which said the PSD was open to such deals. PSD president Mircea Geoana stated a few weeks ago that PD represented a valid option for a possible alliance in view of the early parliamentary elections the PSD envisaged would occur next year. PSD secretary general Miron Mitrea also said recently that his party was ready to cooperate with both PD and PNL. "I am sure solutions will be found for a cooperation with the PNL, if need be," said Mitrea.Citește pe Antena3.ro
