There is no doubt about it: Romania is under the stars of high-rank reunions.
Following the official visit to Washington these past days, the political leaders in Bucharest will hold talks with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who is to arrive in Romania on August 12. He will spend one day and one night in our country, and then leave for Bulgaria, where he will pay a few hours-long official visit.
Schroederâs visit was announced yesterday by Klaus Mangold, executive adviser for Central and Eastern Europe to the president of Daimler Chrysler and commissioner for foreign investments of the company Invest in Germany. The announcement was made at the residence of the Romanian businessman Ion Tiriac. Mangold will lead the business delegation accompanying Chancellor Schroeder in his visits to Romania and Bulgaria.
Mangold said that the main focus of the visit would be to find way to improve the business relationships between Romania and Germany, particularly in electronics, electricity, energy and car making, which are domains the Germans most are interested in.
This will also be an opportunity for Germany to reaffirm its support for Romaniaâs integration into the European Union.
