The PM Went to Budapest for Clapton - VIP Plane to the Concert

On Tuesday night, PM Tariceanu took his friends and left for Budapest for a few hours. He wanted to take part in the Eric Clapton contest. The departure was intermediated by a travel agency the owner of which is a business partner of Tariceanu.

After a long period of time, on Tuesday night, President Basescu and Prime Minister Tariceanu had a thing in a common: they both went away from their duties for a few hours and chose… music. However, if Traian Basescu went to the Romanian seaside, to Olimp, Tariceanu preferred a quick visit to Budapest, to take part in the concert of Eric Clapton in the Hungarian Capital. On Monday night, PM tariceanu missed Shakira’s concert in Timisoara, but he went aboard a charter to get to Budapest for the concert of another international music star on Tuesday.

The call was made a few hours before the beginning of the concert. Several people that went with the PM were: his godchild, Bogdan Olteanu, Peter Imre (the Philip Morris boss), Cristian Trepcea, Carmen Vladescu (the former wife of the Minister of Finances, Sebastian Vladescu), Marina Melescanu (the daughter of Senator Teodor Melescanu). "We formed an extremely big, but non-homogenous group: people from all the areas (politics, affairs, administration) an entire plane", one of the participants confessed to us. "A group with a common target: maximum fun", the quoted source adds.

THE STOPOVER

Since the wife of the PM remained in Timisoara after the Shakira concert, the plane, called for a little period of time "the governmental plane" landed in the city in the West of the country in order for Ioana Tariceanu and her friends to get aboard. "We form an old group of friends ever since we were simple people. We left for the concert one and a half hours earlier, we took a plane, and a bus in Budapest. We entered the concert hall without any special protocols. The concert was extraordinary. We took the same plane to get back", another member of the group completed. According to the quoted sources, each of the participants paid their trip. Actually, according to them, they had been planning this for a long period of time.

THE RETRUN DELAYS THE GOVERNMENT SESSION

The return of the Traiceanu family and their group of friends happened on Wednesday night at approximately 03:00 a.m. It wasn’t early enough for the PM to be able to recover, so the Government session that usually takes place at 10:00 a.m., has been delayed by two hours. Tariceanu’s departure to Budapest is not confirmed by the Government press office, because it wasn’t part of the PM’s public program.

AFFAIRS

ROMAVIA confirmed for Jurnalul National that it organized a charter flight to Budapest on the 18th of July. The flight was based on a contract with the Leader Tour Travel Agency. "According to the contract between the two sides, the entire cost has been paid in advance by the beneficiary (Leader Tour - n.e.), and the name of the dignitary you refer to (PM Tariceanu - n.e.) has been on the passengers’ list", the ROMAVIA leading board states.

RELATIONSHIPS

Laura Camelia Rotileanu administers the Leader Tour Travel Agency, which signed the contract with ROMAVIA for the charter flight to Budapest. The Rotileanus have had a lot of business relations with PM Tariceanu and with the Minister of Finances, Sebastian Vladescu (photo). Nicolae Rotileanu, Camelia’s husband, is an associate of Tariceanu and Vladescu in the company Leader High-Tech Inc., according to data in the Commerce Registry. Moreover, the Minister of Finances is still administrator of the company, even though the laws forbid it. Rotileanu is also a member in the Council for the Surveillance and Administration of the Property Fund. The representatives of the travel agency did not give any details on the trip to Budapest.
