This was our year. And we felt it before it began. Anticipation, journalistic instinct, play? I think it was rather passion. It was an extreme passion for this many times miserable job. I think it was about team spirit and self-sacrifice to the last moment of inspiration and energy, self-sacrifice to the last word.
If we look behind, it has been unbelievably hard. If we look ahead, it has been unbelievably beautiful and we find it a great and new challenge. We thought about you, our readers, when we did everything and, even if this meant a higher responsibility, it made it easier. It has been the hardest year of our newspaperâs existence, but also the most beautiful, the craziest, the most important, it has the Year! It has been a year that simply flew, a year with wings, and we felt its every struggle, its every ordeal, its every shiver, its every moment⦠It has been a year that lived us and a year that we lived with a lot of excitement from his first to its last day, from the first to the last edition, the one you are reading right now, from the first letter to the last dot of an exclamation sign. I donât think saying that you did half of the job means great words, but the truth only. You, our readers, welcomed the editorial office, you welcomed this mutual sympathy feeling that overwhelmed us all, a feeling that we fully enjoyed, without being afraid of wasting it! We thank you for joining to this madness that changed our lives! We make the step to 2005 together with you! I cannot say whether we will be more inspired, more talented, more precise, more imaginative, I cannot say whether we will be better. But I am sure that we will treat you in the same passionate way! Unconditioned! If the year 2004 was our year, the year of the great challenge, we want 2005 to be the year of our achievements. In other words, the "revolution" we started this year will reach its final destination next year! If 2004 is our year, the Jurnalul National year, then 2005 will be the Jurnalul National readersâ year.
