Corneliu Vadim Tudor, leader of the Greater Romania Party, said yesterday that his party will not take part in forming the new government, "since the Parliament originated from electoral fraud."

"When the Government will ask for its instatement, we will vote against it," said he.
Tudor said he was pleased with the 69 seats in the two chambers of the Parliament that his party won, and said he will serve as a senator, as "a commander does not leave his ship."
Tudor also said to his fellow party-members who did not make it into the Parliament should be patient, since "this intolerable state of affairs may not last for long."
He reminded the names of the people who were not elected this time: George Pruteanu, Ion Dolanescu, and Gheorghe Buzatu. He also said that early elections are most likely to occur by spring and that defecting from GRP ranks to the SDP ones was equivalent to a political suicide.
Tudor blamed the SDP government of the last four years for developing a political system which was founded on theft. "Under no circumstances will we take part in this sham," said Tudor.
He also called on his electorate to boycott the second round of presidential elections, stating that this was his way to call the attention of the international institutions on the developments taking place in Romania, saying that if the international community will fail to act, then all its credibility will be lost for Romanians.
