The Executive decided to cut costs with bureaucracy next year and, on top of the 130,000 lay-offs planned it will take off the table the incentives like lunch tickets, bonus tickets and vacation tickets it provided so far,
"given the economic crisis and low budget revenues, the Executive decided next year will not provide these incentives," a government source told Mediafax wire service.
The proposal was part of the initial budget draft for 2010, but a Wednesday Government ordinance appended to the budget law states it clearly.
In fact, a Government ordinance decided the same thing for 2009, but government agencies raising their own revenues were excepted. Also, negotiations with trade unions watered down the provision allowing government agencies to still provide the tickets if they stayed withing the budget limits already approved.
