The House in Mihaileanu - Udrea, the President’s Lawyer

The former chief of the presidential chancellery, Elena Udrea, defends her former boss from outside the Cotroceni as well. This time she speaks as a lawyer.
According to some judicial sources, she is the President’s lawyer in the case regarding the house on the Mihaileanu Street. Udrea confirmed this for us last night: "Yes, I am the President’s representative in this file. The investigation started after a denunciation of 6 SDP (Social Democratic Party) Senators and the papers are being made for it. During the past days, I have filed in at the Supreme Court all the papers that were at the base of the purchase of this house. All I can tell you is that there is no illegality, there are no false declarations". Udrea also mentions the hypothesis of the "only legal solution" for this case: no penal investigation regarding Traian Basescu. The lawyer doesn’t refer to the President’s immunity and believes the file should have this or other solution such that it would not remain "a case to point the finger at".
