Easter in the Delta at the Tourism Fair

Easter in the Danube Delta and free transportation with the boat to the church, holidays on the seaside, cruises in the islands of the Adriatic Sea. These are some of the offers one would meet at the National Tourism Fair (NTF) which will take place at Romexpo, between the 7th and the 10th of April.

ATTRACTION. Fishing and sailing are only two interest objectives that attract tourists in the Danube Delta.

The Easter holiday is coming soon, and the summer holidays is not to far either, so the 13th National Tourism Fair is welcomed to help the tourists in planning their vacations. There are 291 companies taking part in it this year. 39 of them are foreign companies and represent 13 countries.

DISCOUNTS

The tourism agencies, the hotel owners and the associations in this field have prepared a lot of trips, excursions and holidays in different corners of our country and of other countries. This year, for the first time, the people who register during the fair at the tourism agencies for the summer offers will benefit from discounts of 10% to 20%. "We want to make NTF an event for selling, and not just for showing, the offers of the tourism agencies, in the same way it happens in other countries", Lucia Moraru, the president of the National Association of the Tourism Agencies (NATA), stated.

OFFERS

The National Association for Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism (NARECT) has prepared Easter excursions in the affiliated pensions near Tismana, in Sibiu or from the Bran-Moeciu area. For 139 euros per person, the tourists can spend five days in the Danube Delta (all included), where they will be transported with the boat to the church for attending the Easter Ceremony and tasting the traditional fish-based food. Besides the rediscovery of the traditional tourism, the tourists can go for excursions abroad, in Greece, Italy, Croatia, Mexico, Kenya or Japan. The special program "The Seaside for Everyone" could continue this summer as well. For now, the Tourism Authority and the related associations are discussing upon the possibility of launching the offer.

RECREATION

In the same period as the NTF the Sport and Recreation Show "Expo Sport and Leisure" will also take place. Here, the "Olympic Romania" stall will be organized. The visitors will have the opportunity of meeting here and getting autographs from great sportspersons of the country: Nadia Comaneci, Ivan Patzaichin, Elisabeta Lipa, Laura Badea or Catalina Ponor. Also at the NTF, the photographic art enthusiast will be able to admire the most beautiful tourism-related pictures in a special exhibition. The exhibition’s theme has the following categories: natural landscape, city landscape and photographic essay. Among the laureates of the National Touristy Photography Exhibition there is also the President’s daughter, Ioana Badescu.
